One of the earliest indications that the spread of COVID is escalating in our community is an accounting of how many people are seeking a COVID test. While there are many places to get tested (please see our Resources page for more info), the most reliable and consistent data describing people seeking a COVID test comes from the Washoe County Health District (WCHD). When seeking to get tested by the WCSD, the first step is to fill out an online risk assessment form. By tracking trends in the number of risk assessments received, we can analyze a leading indicator of COVID spread in our model.
