Test Positivity measures the percentage of COVID tests administered that return a positive result. This metric shows how common the virus may be in the community and helps make sure that asymptomatic cases, (people who feel well but are infected) are under control. A high test positivity value can indicate that COVID is widespread within the community and/or that more testing needs to be done to accurately track the disease’s proliferation.
